A LARGE WHITE-GLAZED CARVED
‘PHOENIX-TAIL’ VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is carved beneath the glaze with
peony fowers borne on scrolling vines. The
base has an apocryphal Chenghua mark in
underglaze blue within a double circle.
