The stone is superbly carved in the round depicting a double-horned 151號
mythical beast in a couching position with upturned wings flanking
its body, its mouth agape with a ferocious expression. The stone is of 出版

青白玉質，局部灰黑色，沾有少量硃砂。圓雕一辟邪。辟邪，是想像
中可辟除邪惡，保謢生靈或亡者的神獸。雕作帶翼的貓科動物，造
HK$8,000,000-12,000,000 形或源自西亞。由考古資料可知，西漢晚期始見玉辟邪的雕琢，著錄
US$1,100,000-1,500,000 於《中國美術全集—9—玉器》，北京，1986年，圖版171、174號。或與
西漢中期時，武帝致力於開拓西域有關。此件玉辟邪，張口露齒，四
