Signed Ma Shao Shaun in the western alphabet and dated 1914 November 2013, no. 27
Of rounded rectangular shape, depicting President Woodrow Wilson
on one side, the reverse with the inscription in English, ‘Mr. W. Wilson (Thomas) Woodrow Wilson (1856 – 1924) served as the 28th president
President of the United States of America. Painted by Ma Shao Shaun, of the United States from 1913 to 1921. Wilson also served as the
Peking 1914’; stopper. president of Princeton University and as the Governor of New Jersey
2 1/4in (5.6cm) high before winning the 1912 presidential election. Whilst often remembered
as the president that led the United States into World War I in 1917,
$2,500 - 3,500 he should be best remembered as the creator and leading advocate
of the League of Nations, for which he was awarded the 1919 Nobel

period and at the height of his creative strength. This bottle, depicting
Woodrow Wilson, is listed by Ma Zengshan as among the artists most
important works.
