A RESERVE-DECORATED BLUE AND WHITE ‘DRAGON’ DISH
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD
(1736-1795)
The dish has rounded sides rising to a slightly everted rim, and is decorated in the center
with a fve-clawed dragon writhing amidst crashing waves. The reverse is decorated with
nine dragons writhing amidst waves beneath a band of demi-forettes.
