AN IRON-RED-DECORATED BLUE AND WHITE
‘DRAGON’ DISH

QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

The dish has rounded sides that fare at the rim, and is decorated on
the interior with a medallion of an iron-red dragon writhing against
a background of cresting waves, and on the exterior with a similar
frieze of dragons below a band of demi-forets at the rim.
