A PURPLE-SPLASHED JUNYAO TRIPOD CENSER
JIN-YUAN DYNASTY, 13TH-14TH CENTURY
The censer has a compressed globular body supported on three
cabriole legs, and a pair of rounded handles surmounted by upright
angular loops and is covered overall with a fnely mottled, milky blue
glaze that thins to mushroom on the rim and is accented with bluish-
purple splashes on the exterior and interior.
