AN IRON-RED-GROUND BLUE AND
WHITE OVOID VASE
MING DYNASTY, 16TH-17TH CENTURY
The vase is decorated with lotus scroll, delineated
above the foot, at the shoulder, and base of the neck
with white horizontal line borders, all in soft tones
of underglaze blue against a rich iron-red ground.
