TWO LARGE BOLTS AND A LENGTH OF SILK BROCADE
FABRICS
Late Qing/Republic period
The first of aubergine color, woven with large roundels enclosing
ruyi scepters, bats, and leafy flowers, all against a ground filled
with dense cloud scrolls, the lower hem woven with the inscription
Zhengyuanxing Chang Du Zao; the second a large bolt of white silk
fabric woven with chrysanthemums, orchids, bamboo, and prunus
blossoms; the third a length of purple silk brocade, designed with
lingzhi branches and floral scrolls surrounding double-gourd panels
each framing auspicious symbols including chime, lingzhi head, and
flaming jewels, the lower hem with the inscription Zhengyuanxing
Chang Du Zao.

6440 A GROUP OF FOUR BOLTS OF SILK BROCADE FABRICS
Early-mid 20th century
Including two bolts of white silk woven with bamboo orchids, plum
flowers and chrysanthemums, each with the Zhengyuanxing Du Zao
marks along one of the long sides; the third of bright yellow coloring
with a slight golden hue, woven with repetitive swastika symbols;
the fourth of deep blue shade, decorated with large phoenix and
peony roundels against a ground filled with swastika and geometric
patterns.

20th century
Including three lengths of brocade fabrics, two of pink ground, one
of gold-sheened tan color, similarly woven with figures and civilized
landscape, the narrow margins woven with either CHEKIANG
CHUNG CHONG trademarks in both English and Chinese, or Zhe
Hang Huamei Sizhi Chang Du Zao trademark in Chinese; two
identical yellowish-green silk brocade, each woven with repetitive
6441 dragons with flaming pearls, and cloud scrolls, enclosed by borders
with Mandarin ducks, and lotus pond, each corner with a logo
and Yamei Chupin trademark; the sixth a length of white silk with
chrysanthemum design; together with two panel curtains made from
white silk brocade woven with dragon roundels against a ground
filled with dense cloud scrolls. [8]
