CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
The lion carved standing with the front paw placed on a brocade ball and a loose ball within the mouth
from which trails a ribbon, the curly mane and tail incised in fne detail, with eight cubs clambering
playfully on the back and at the sides
