A VERY FINE AND RARE PALE GREEN-WHITE JADE CARVING The two figures of boys, one holding a lotus stem and woven box,

paddling the gnarled tree-trunk raft, both figures of great delicacy and riches and honour, making this carving highly suitable as a gift on the
charm, flanking a cluster of blossoming peony flowers, peaches and occasion of New Year.

清代宮廷雕刻藝術中常以仙人乘槎為題材進行雕刻，此擺件上的仙童
手持蓮花及品捧盒，或為寒山及拾得兩人，合稱和合二仙，有吉祥、
長壽、和睦的寓意，是宮廷文房陳設佳器。

對比北京故宮博物院中亦藏一件清乾隆青玉雕船形擺件，見《故宮博
物院文物珍品大系：玉器（III）》，香港，1995年，圖32。

紐約佳士得曾售出一件十八世紀青白玉麻姑乘槎擺件，亦可作比
較，2011年9月15日，拍品編號1035。
