A SUPERB IMPERIAL WHITE JADE CARVING OF A RAFT AND
IMMORTALS

Masterfully carved and well hollowed as a rectangular vase and cover
emerging from a curving tree raft, exceptionally detailed with a double-
gourd and flower-basket hanging from the gnarled branches, encircled by
four boys vividly depicted with a jovial expression, including Hehe Erxian
with one holding a lotus stem and the other with a wicker box, Liu Hai
grasping a string of cash coins on top of a three-legged toad, and the
fourth boy holding a broom, all above swirling waves on the underside,
the softly polished stone of an even white tone, wood stand.
