FOUR SMALL JADE DAGGER-BLADES, GE
Shang Dynasty
Each sharply carved in the form of a pointed ge dagger-axe with
bevelled sides, pierced with a hole at the centre near one end; the
smallest blade with a further hole at the side, 5.5cm (2in) long; the
smallest jade of a pale green tone, one of a semi-translucent tone
suffused with russet inclusions, and the other two of opaque ivory
tone, the largest 9.6cm (3 3/4in) long. (4).
