A BLUE SILK KESI DRAGON ROBE
Late 19th century
Woven with nine five-clawed dragons with embroidered details,
surrounded by auspicious emblems and animals amid clouds, all
bordered by lishui stripes and terrestrial diagrams emerging from
churning waves, the collar and sleeve bands similarly woven and
edged in brocade, the details of the decorations accented with black
pigment.
