A CELADON JADE ‘BATS AND PEACHES’ CARVING
Qing dynasty
The substantial irregularly ovoid pebble worked as two bulbous fruits
raised atop a gnarled and leafy blooming undercut branch adorned
in tiny raised relief bats, the stone of mottled celadon hue streaked in
notable patches of russet skin.

A YELLOW JADE ‘CONCH SHELL’ WASHER
Carved as a slightly flattened conch shell, the aperture forming the
well, the whorls on the spire carved with arcs, the body whorl carved
in low relief with stylized lotus blossoms borne on scrolling foliage with
one leaf extending over the lip, the stone a greenish-yellow color with
enhanced russet.
