QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD 剔紅開光山水人物圖海棠式瓶一對
each of quatrelobed form, the baluster body rising from a
splayed foot to a waisted neck and flared rim, each lobed
side of the main body decorated with a cusped cartouche
enclosing a scene of figures engaging in various activities
against tranquil landscapes, interrupted by lotus scrolls
against a dense diapered ground, between plantain and
lappet borders encircling the neck and lower body, the rim
and foot bordered with key-fret friezes
