TWO MONOCHROME GLAZED VASES
Republic period
The larger of rouleau form with a cupped rim and raised band around
the cylindrical neck, a cobalt wash applied on the exterior and portions
of the interior beneath a colorless glaze also applied across the
recessed base; the smaller a garlic headed vase with pear-shaped
body, the recessed base bearing a six-character Kangxi mark in
underglaze blue standard script beneath the pale greenish-white glaze
applied everywhere except the foot pad.
