              A cast bronze vessel
              17th century
              of archaic bronze hu form, raised on a high flared oval foot the low
              set body tapering inward to a wide band cast in high relief at the front
              and back with a classic taotie mask against a leiwen ground between
              animal mask handles below the flared mouth.

              Yuan/early Ming dynasty
              Thinly cast, the lower belly worked with elegant cresting waves
              under three bands of alternating lozenge and spiral patterns on the
              shoulders and neck, all set off by paired tubular handles.
