TWO UNGLAZED POTTERY MUSICIANS
AND A DANCER
Tang Dynasty
One lady modelled as a dancer standing with
head tilted to one side and looking in the
direction of her raised arm, wearing a long
flowing dress with long sleeves that fall to the
ground, the other two ladies kneeling with
their legs tucked under their dresses, one
playing the xiao, the other a qin. The tallest
26cm (10 1/8in) high (3).

Comprising: a sancai seated lady holding
a parrot and a fan on her lap, with a later
replacement modelled head; and two glazed
standing ladies, wood stands.

A POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE
Tang Dynasty
Modelled four square on a rectangular base,
the maned neck slightly turned to the left,
with bulging eyes and flared nostrils, the
back caparisoned with a cloth-tied saddle,
with traces of white, red and black pigments.
