Qianlong mark, 19th century
The cover cast in openwork with relief
decoration of dragons and phoenix among
clouds, the finial with a fierce looking
coiled dragon and flaming pearl, the body
supported by a lotus pedestal with mythical
creatures emerging from the waves, flanked
by a pair of mask ring handles, hardwood
stand.

Heavily cast with deep rounded sides, the
exterior with a continuous scene of a striding
five-clawed dragon and phoenix amidst large
blossoming peony flowers and wispy clouds,
all between a key-fret border at the mouth
rim and upright lappets above the narrow
foot, box. 13.8cm (5 3/8in) diam. (2).
