Xuande four-character marks, 18th/19th century
Each with a globular body and waisted long neck rising to an
everted rim, decorated in gilt with floral and animal medallions, shou
characters and yin and yang symbols, the shoulder encircled with a
border of shou characters among lotus scroll, stylised lotus lappets
band to the foot and ruyi-heads to the mouth.

The cylindrical body surmounted by a tall neck with galleried rim,
decorated in gilt against a powder-blue ground with reserved panels
depicting river landscapes or birds amongst flowering plants, against
a cracked ice ground with prunus, bamboo sprigs and butterflies, the
shoulder with four precious objects cartouches on a diaper and floral
ground.
