A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI STANDARD STANDS
19th century
Each with stepped feet carved with key-fret motif, flanked by tall
spandrels with similar scrolling decoration, the front and back aprons
with styles ruyi-heads motif at 45 degrees to the straight stretcher,
the central post holding a pole with at the top a different shaped
brass standard, one with Daoguang mark.
The stand: 96cm (37 7/8in) high x 74cm (29 1/8in) wide x 40.5cm
(16in) deep. With standards: circa 242cm (95 1/4in) high (6).
