A RARE WUCAI LUDUAN-FORM CENSER
MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The beast is modelled standing on four short legs, with the detachable head decorated
in shades of yellow, red, green and blue. The mouth is slightly open, with the eyes looking
upwards. The body is painted with scrolling bands of mythical creatures amidst clouds.
