          A SPINACH-GREEN JADE LOBED VASE
          17TH-18TH CENTURY
The vase is carved with a pear-shaped body rising to a raised collar supporting
an elegantly waisted neck and faring rim. The body is carved with slender
lobes separated by a raised ridge, and is decorated with a petal shaped band
          around the shoulder.
          8 in. (20.32 cm.)
          £20,000-30,000 $27,000-39,000
                                                €23,000-33,000
The shape of the present vase appears to be based on Islamic metalwork.
Compare this to an example illustrated in Mark Zebrowski, Gold, Silver and
Bronze from Mughal India, London, no.235, p.165.
