The exterior is cast in relief with two mirrored panels of scrolling designs above
a shaped horizontal panel of similar decoration. The loop handle to the top is See also a bell with similar slender, raised scroll patterns, illustrated in
cast with a geometric band. The surface has a mottled dark grey patina with Catherine Delacour, De Bronze, d'or et d'argent, Arts somptuaires de la Chine,
light malachite encrustation. Paris, 2001, p.43.
