A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE ‘EIGHT
IMMORTALS’ TRIPOD CENSER
JIAJING PERIOD (1522-1566)
The censer is decorated to the exterior with the
Eight Immortals holding various attributes, with
Shoulao seated on a rock holding a ruyi sceptre, all
surrounded by pine trees and lingzhi sprigs within
a fenced garden, below a band of bird and fower
cartouches to the wasted neck. The vessel is
supported on three animal mask-form feet.

A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE BRUSH POT
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The brush pot is decorated to the exterior with a
tranquil scene of two scholars and their attendant
carrying a qin, beside a fsherman in a boat on a
river, surrounded by a mountainous landscape and
pavilions. The base is painted with an apocryphal
Jiajing mark.
