                               Each enamelled to the centre with a pair of peacocks among peonies
                               issuing from rockwork within a spearhead border, the rim decorated
                               bianco sopra bianco with prunus, chrysanthemum and bamboo below
                               a coloured diaper band spaced with floral motifs, (hairlines),
                               32.4cm diameter

                               The exterior enamelled with a song bird perched on a bamboo stem
                               among flowering peony,

                               Colonial Secretary in Hong Kong, circa 1900-1910. Thence by
                               descent.

                               The teapot of globular form and decorated with two roundels
                               depicting a gentleman gazing at his sleeping lover, below a spearhead
                               band at rim, the cover with floral sprays within a spearhead border, in
                               grey, gilt and red enamels,
