                     715  |  A BRONZE ‘BUDDHIST LION’ SCROLL WEIGHT, LATE MING
 China, 1368-1644. The scroll weight cast in the form of a recumbent
 qilin with its head turned backwards, the details finely incised giving   China, late Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The Buddhist lion cast with a fierce expression,
 this mythical beast a noble expression.  open mouth, flame-like tail and one paw on a brocade ball.

                                                                              China, c. 1046 BC–220 AD. The jingle bell cast
                                                                              in openwork as a sphere with a bronze ball
                                                                              inside, surrounded by a halo sectioned into the
