A PAIR OF LARGE PAINTED ENAMEL FAMILLE ROSE JARDINIÈRES
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

The jardinières are decorated to each long side with a panel of fowering branches, including

chrysanthemum, peony, rose and magnolia, growing beside blue pierced rockwork, and to the short sides

with panels of birds and butterfies amongst similar fowering branches, all reserved on a yellow ground

with scrolling fowering foliage.
