of circular form, finely carved in tightly coiled 'rope-twist' pattern, set to the center with a plain bar, the smoothly polished stone of
a pale-celadon tone with russet coloration

Catalogue Note
Jade fittings of this type appear to be extremely rare, although a closely related fitting is recorded in the collection of the National
Palace Museum, Taipei, published on the museum's website, acc. no. 001154-N000000000. According to the museum, this type
of fitting was used to secure belt buckles. A group of jade rings from the Eastern Zhou dynasty, carved with the same 'rope twist'
