           A SET OF FOUR ‘PALACE’ PAINTINGS                  Qiu Ying 仇英 (c.1494-1552), also known as Shifu 實父, pseudonym
           In the style of Qiu Ying, Qing Dynasty            Shizhou 十洲, was a famous professional painter based in Suzhou
           Ink and colour on silk, each highlighted in vibrant tones of emerald   known for his green and blue landscape style. Although he was not
           green and sapphire blue with an imaginary landscape scene depicting   of the scholar-gentry class, his talent allowed him to be regarded as
           elaborate pavilions floating amidst rocky outcrops and clouds,   one of the Four Masters of the Wu School, which generally stressed
           each inscribed with a different palace name including the Jiucheng   the importance of literati-style ink washes. For more on Qiu Ying and
