A SOAPSTONE ‘BUDDHIST-LION’ SCROLL WEIGHT
18th/19th century
Well carved with the body curled around a ball held between its jaws
and hind legs, the head with bulbous eyes beneath a finely incised
thick bushy mane, all supported on a small rug, the stone of rich
caramel tone.
7cm (2 3/4in) long.
