KANGXI 1662-1722
Painted in enamels with chrysanthemum, bamboo and other plants
amidst rockwork, with a spray of lotus to the well, the base with a
six character Hongzhi mark, 21cm.

Provenance: from an English private collection, purchased in the
1970s.

A CHINESE DOUCAI ‘CHICKEN’ BOWL
QING DYNASTY
Rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, painted to
the exterior with chickens and chicks in a rocky landscape amidst
plantain, peony and other plants, with a medallion enclosing a
cockerel and hen to the well, the base with a four character mark
reading Cai Xiu Tang zhi, 15.3cm.

SONG DYNASTY
Each of conical form, one covered in a rich black glaze, the other
decorated with a brown and black ‘hare’s fur’ glaze, the thick glaze
