SIX CHINESE PORCELAIN ITEMS
QIANLONG 1736-95
Comprising: a sweet meat tray made for the Portuguese market
painted with stylised yellow flowers set amidst scrolling patterns,
a moulded handle with the same design, and a pair of famille rose
tea bowls and saucers painted with a scene of European children
leaving their home, 17.5cm max. (6)

The tray and handle come from one of three services made for Dom
José Ribeiro da Fonseca Figueiredo (1690-1752), who was appointed
as the Bishop of Porto in 1739 under the name of Dom Frei José
Maria da Fonseca e Evora.

A SMALL CHINESE SOFT-PASTE BLUE AND WHITE VASE
AND TWO BRUSH WASHERS
LATE QING DYNASTY
The vase painted with a mythical beast crouching in a rocky
landscape, the larger brush washer decorated with fish to the well
and with a six character Kangxi mark to the base, the smaller brush
washer soft-paste porcelain and with floral designs, 13cm max. (3)

Each painted in enamels and gilt with a stag and a doe standing
beneath rockwork and tree peony, the scene contained within a
gilt band, with large floral sprays to the rims, 23.2cm. (2)
