mounted as an album with the right axis bound, the zitan 族傳承
covers each with an incised gilt border and the front cover

further incised and gilt with the title of the text, Yuzhi wufu
wudai tang ji, in a vertical panel, the paper board leaves
covered in yellow silk brocade patterned with five-clawed
dragons striding amidst swirling clouds, the central six leaves
each enclosing a rectangular spinach-green jade tablet
painted in gilt lacquer to both sides starting with a frontispiece
illustrating two confronting five-clawed dragons grasping for a
shou character over waves and rocks, followed by the Qianlong
Emperor’s text and commentary, and a final image of a five-
clawed dragon pursuing a ‘flaming pearl’
