Dishes with this doucai design, with peach trees artfully $ 8,000-12,000
twisted into ‘Shou’ character motifs, were popular from 130
the late Ming dynasty all the way up through the late Qing; 清嘉慶 黃地綠彩龍鳳呈祥紋盌
see a Jiajing marked dish with a very similar design in the 《大清嘉慶年製》款
collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in The
Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, 來源
vol. 38, p. 19, cat. no. 18. Kangxi-period dishes of this design Herman A. E. (1951年逝) 及 Paul C. (1951年逝)
with the Haoran Tang mark, however, are exceedingly rare; a Jaehne 收藏
very closely related example bearing the Haoran Tang mark
is in the collection of the Musée Guimet, Paris, at this time 1941年贈予紐瓦克博物館，紐瓦克 (館藏編號
apparently unpublished. By the Qianlong period and later, 41.1976B)
the Shou-form tree becomes notably more angular than in
the Jiajing marked example and the present dish.
