ENAMELLED ‘DRAGON’ BOWLS
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
Each bowl is incised to the exterior with four dragon roundels
chasing the flaming pearl separated by pairs of scrolling clouds,
above a lappet band around the foot. The interior is decorated
with a further dragon roundel. The decoration are all enamelled
in green on the egg-yolk yellow ground.
