A CHINESE IMPERIAL BLUE AND WHITE ‘PALACE’ BOWL
SIX CHARACTER KANGXI MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1662-1722
The U-shaped bowl rising from a gently tapering foot to an everted rim,
painted to the exterior with six lotus flowerheads on a continuous scrolling
branch, with a band of lappets encircling the foot, the well decorated with a
medallion enclosing a single lotus bloom amidst stylised leaves, 16.2cm.
