Xuande six-character mark
Heavily cast in compressed globular form raised on a short foot,
decorated with silver inlay forming cartouches to the waisted rim
enclosing Eight Treasures alternated with a dense key-fret pattern,
above archaistic cicada blades, flanked by a pair of loop handles
issued from beast heads, the patinated surface of an attractive
brownish-copper tone, together with a later bronze stand. 29.8cm (11
3/4in) wide (2).
