AMBER PENDANTS AND A BLACK
CORAL SNUFF BOTTLE
19th century
The first amber bottle of pebble form, carved
in relief with blossoming prunus branches;
the second of burnt orange and caramel hue
carved in the form of two squirrels amongst
vines; a honey coloured amber pendant
carved as lingzhi stems; another as fruiting
peach branches; and a black coral snuff bottle
carved in relief with a fish leaping from waves.
The coral bottle 7cm (2.3/4in) long. (5).

A ROCK-CRYSTAL ‘DRAGON’ CARVING
18th/19th century
Finely carved as an unusual beaked, wingless
dragon with a bifurcated tail, the sinuous body
curled around on itself, wood stand; together
with two similar rock-crystal snuff bottles, one
stopper. 6.5cm (2 1/2in) wide (6).
