Hongxian four-character marks, early 20th century
The elongated tubular necks enamelled with upright bands of plantain
leaves hiding small florets, above luxuriant vines of cascading flowers
to the well-rounded shoulders, leading to scattered circular medallions
above formal lappet bands to the slender feet. Each 36cm (14 1/8in)
high (2).

Hongxian Yuzhi four-character marks, Republic Period
Each flower pot and stand intricately enamelled in a bright pink hue
with a central band of lotus flower heads and bats, bordered with
lappets, with ruyi-head and lappet bands at the foot and mouth rims,
raised on six small feet. Each: 17.5cm (6 7/8in) high (4).
