         The exterior is finely carved with a continuous riverscape scene,   於1990年代購自香港張子玲(張六爺)
         below a four-character title describing the scene, followed by the   奚岡(1746-1803),字鐵生,為乾隆時期杭州著名書畫家、篆刻家,
         signature of Xi Gang and a two-character red seal.
         6 Ω in. (16.5 cm.) high                           九歲始精書法,擅繪山水花卉而聞名。奚岡乃清代以杭州為中心的浙派
                                                           篆刻名家,與其他名家合稱為西泠八家。

         PROVENANCE
         Acquired in 1990s from Zhang Ziling, Hong Kong
         Xi Gang (1746-1803) was a renowned painter, calligrapher, and carver
         active in Hangzhou during the Qianlong period, and was one of the
         eight master carvers known as Xiling bajia.
