AN IMPERIAL INSCRIBED
JADE-INSET CLOISONNE
ENAMEL DOUBLE GOURD-
SHAPED WALL VASE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The cloisonné enamel vase is inset on the
bottom bulb with a circular jade plaque,
incised with an Imperial poem, surrounded
by enamelled ruyi-heads and lotus sprays.
The upper section is decorated with a
single lotus bloom. The shoulders are
flanked by a pair of gilt arched handles.
The flat base is gilt, with a key-shaped
aperture for suspension.

掐絲琺瑯嵌玉刻御題詩葫蘆形壁瓶

幾朵蕭蕭迴絕埃
不霜寄傲不根栽
世間黃紫工失色
卻與菊花失本來
此詩作於乾隆三十三年，收錄於《高宗
御製詩文集》三集卷六十九《題陳栝墨
戲十種》。
