A LARGE EIGHT PANEL COROMANDEL SCREEN
Late Qing/Republic period
Carved on the front with a musical concert in an extended garden
complex given by a seated scholar playing the qin and beauties
playing various musical instruments beneath an inscription bearing
the apocryphal date of Kangxi xinyou (1681); the inscription on the
reverse bearing the apocryphal date Kangxi jiawu (1714) a scene of
birds flocking around a wutong tree and rocks (wear, chips, repairs).

Late Qing/Republic Period
The rectangular panel top set into a mitred, mortise and tenon frame
over a cut-out aprons and side panels of lingzhi fungus set between
discrete paneled supports of further lingzhi and beaded chimes
linked to cut-out side panels.
