Each panel of thin vertical section comprised of several framed
130 | BONHAMS registers intricately carved in raised relief to depict bat, archaistic
scroll work, and Eight Immortal patterns, now displaying likely later-
added silk brocade fragments of One Hundred Boy motifs (the
reverse of the screen now bracketed open for mounting and display).

A PAIR OF HARDWOOD CHAIRS WITH BURLWOOD PANEL
INSETS
Late Qing/Republic period
Each bow-shaped top rail suspending a three-part burl wood panel
back splat joined to a mitred, mortise and tenon frame enclosing
a finely figured burl wood hard seat over beaded tubular supports
joined to a split c-comma apron and stepped stretchers.
