A WHITE JADE FIGURE OF STANDING
BUDDHA
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The Buddha is shown wearing long robes that
open at the chest and fall above the feet, and are
incised with bats and shou medallions on the front
and bats and clouds on the back. The face has a
serene expression beneath the tight curls of hair
and a flat ushnisha. The stone is of an even, pale
greenish-white tone.
