A BOXWOOD FIGURE OF BUDAI
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The laughing figure is shown standing on a pine tree
platform with left leg raised and bent, leaning against a
knotted treature sack with the head and body tilted to
the right. He's wearing a loose robes that falls open to
reveal a rounded belly, the left hand is holding a double
gourd and right hand holding a rosary.
