 Of tapered ovoid form surmounted by a cylindrical neck with   Ϝ源
 slightly flaring wide mouth, the ewer is applied with a short spout   藍理捷

 set opposite a strap handle, which is impressed with a row of small
 ring motifs overlaid with an attachment strap at its base. The ewer
 is covered with a glossy transparent glaze that pools to a pale bluish
 tone around the handle.

 Compare the silver ewer of very similar form unearthed in 1982
 from a late Tang dynasty cache at Dingmaoqiao, Dantu county,
