The ewer has an animal-form handle to one side and a plain spout to the other,    the Chubu Nippon newspaper Co. Ltd.
decorated to the body with a stylised scroll design, all supported on four short
feet. The fnial is shaped as a recumbent bird. The bronze has a pale greyish-
green patina with faint blue-green areas of encrustation.
