A CARVED ‘REALGAR’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1760-1840
The bottle is carved with two cartouches through the bright red
outer layer revealing the orange glass below, one side depicting a silk
worm on a leaf, the reverse with the worm having emerged as a moth
flying amidst flowering plants
