modelled after the form of archaic bronze ding, the deep U-shaped body rising from three tall cylindrical hollowed-out
legs to a lipped rim set with a pair of upright handles, moulded around the exterior with a band of confronted dragons modelled after the form of an archaic fanghu, potted with a pear-shaped octagonal body rising from a straight foot,
on a leiwen ground, enclosed by raised rib borders, covered overall with a thick ivory-tinted glaze
set at the shoulder with a pair of lug handles, finely applied overall with a soft pale bluish-grey glaze in imitation of the
22.8 cm Song dynasty Ru imperial ware, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark
